It's Getting Right

Report Date: February 23, 2005

That's a big one Dave.

Things have been going well on the fishing front. The weather has been real nice and I have been staying real busy. I fished 13 trips in the last 7 days. The fishing has been good. Not as many catches as I want, but we?re getting it done.

Lauderdale has had a few slow nights, but we managed to catch a couple nice tarpon. Mike Noyes caught one about 100# up the river. Jacky Crawford got one about 50# another night. Getting a lot of spooks and pops, but they can?t seem to get the mullet in there mouth.

The bay is where all the best action has been. Tarpon bite in general has been fair. The bones are there and the permit are showing up pretty good. The bluefish and ladyfish are thick and the sharks have been around too.

Dave Spindel started off the week by going 1 for 2 on tarpon one morning.

Rob Greenberg did an evening trip and went 3 for 5 on tarpon. The little one was about 50# and the biggest was around 100#.

Judy Paige caught an 8# bonefish and a 19# permit.

Jack and Diane Podlsney caught ladyfish and bluefish a big lemon shark and a black tip shark.

Shelly caught tarpon of 75 and 50 lbs and a 7 lb mangrove snapper in Gov?t Cut last night.

The weather looks great for the near future and the fishing will be great. Wish you were here. Tight lines.
