One Day at a Time
The weather gods have not been happy recently. Friday was rainy and windy, Saturday was beautiful and chilly, Sunday was beautiful but chilly, Monday was perfect, Tuesday was cold, rainy and windy, and Wednesday was cold and really rainy. Today is sunny, cold and windy. I?ve been praying to the weather gods. It looks like they will be more forgiving in the next few days. We did manage a few nice catches on the days I fished.
Saturday, Ray Pampin saw some tarpon but got no bites. We checked a permit spot and they were there and we got a 20 lber. The bonefish spots were empty. The water was still a little chilled and we only did a half day, so it didn?t give us a lot of time to look around.

Monday started out chilly but warmed up quickly with the bright sun. I had a two boat group out. My boat was 1 for 4 on tarpon and the other boat caught 4 bonefish. The tarpon we got was a three man effort. It was every bit of 100 lbs.
Tuesday, the weather was cloudy, then windy, then rainy. John jumped a nice tarpon on our first drift and the tarpon were done. Ted, however, hooked a 36# permit as a bonus fish and day saver.

I will have to work a little harder the next couple days to find fish due to the cold water. However, as the water warms the bite will be on.
