Playing Catch Up
Report Date: May 9, 2005
As I look through my log book I have found that I have way more days to report on than I have time for. All photos have to be resized and it takes forever. I try to stay on top of it, but there are only so many hours in a day. So, this is the April report.
4-3-5 Jamie Blanchard came back with his girlfriend Patty. They caught a double header tarpon and Patty got her first permit.

4-4-5 Bruce Campbell had a great day and almost got a slam. He started off with a nice tarpon, caught a 20# permit and lost a bonefish on a blazing run.
4-6-5 Bill McBrearty and Jason caught a tarpon.
4-7-5 Joedy Friemel Caught a tarpon that I?ll bet was 150 lbs.
4-9-5 Scott Miedema and his kids caught and big tarpon, bluefish and sharks.

4-29-5 James Stapp caught two tarpon over 100 lbs.
5-2-5 Jeff Silver was 1 for 3 on tarpon and caught 3 permit.
5-3-5 Randy Metzger caught 22 lb permit.
These were the best catches for the month. Bonefishing was tough. Other catches included bluefish, ladyfish, jack, and sharks. Some days were tough due to weather and some the fish just didn?t want to play.
May looks good so far. The tarpon are swimming good and there should be plenty of bones and permit. I will be fishing mostly fly fisherman so I hope the winds stay low. I am booked until the end of May and have plenty of days open for June. Tarpon fishing will slow slightly but permit fishing will get better and bones will be the same for June.
