Saved the Day

Joe Hess and his friend wanted to catch a tarpon so we went for a half day to give it hell. First thing we made several drifts while watching the tarpon roll. No bite. I decided I would not keep trying with the way the tarpon fishing had been lately so we went permit fishing. We only had time to check one spot. That spot turned out to be the deal. Joe got his first permit. It was a 16 lber. Not bad for a golfer.
